The 3rd World Congress on the Management of Intellectual Capital will provide a forum for business leaders and leading academics to discuss ways in which to enhance the intellectual capital of their respective organizations.
The market has been placing value on invisible assets for years with increasing emphasis. The recognition of this reality is forcing a new balance (of measurement) to emerge: financial value and non-financial value (intellectual capital). Without proper valuation tools as an effective means to increase the intellectual capital value, companies will be buried by those which have adopted these means.
Those attending the conference will gain knowledge of how to apply intellectual capital as a means of recognizing, measuring, and presenting intellectual capital as the true value of their companies. They will be exposed to:
Delegates will learn . . .World-Class Speakers . . . who will present their first-hand experiences in managing intellectual capital within their organizations.
International Academic Forum . . . featuring leading academics from around the globe who will present their latest research on intellectual capital.
Opportunities . . . to network with today's business icons, internationally renowned academics, colleagues, and potential future partners.
Vision . . . you will gain valuable insight into the business world of tomorrow.
To build strong and enduring business relationships in networks.
To initiate and maintain customer loyalty.
To develop the roles of key employees who represent the present and future competency and value of the business.
To instill the commitment to continuous learning and increase the intellectual capital of the firm.
To recognize and develop the character and values of the company - a great tool for both executives and investors.

McMaster University has long been recognized as one of the most innovative universities in Canada, and the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business shares in that commitment. In the ever-changing business environment that today's companies must compete, leaders realize that the key to beating their competitors is to maximize the efficiency of their most valuable asset, their employees. It is only through the creation of an environment facilitating risk taking, innovation and creativity that companies will fully realize their potential.
The goal of The Third World Congress on the Management of Intellectual Capital is to provide a forum for the presentation, exchange and discussion of leading academic and practical expertise pertaining to intellectual capital management. Business experiences from leaders in the application of intellectual capital management principles will be supplemented by cutting-edge research findings form Canada's leading academics. The result will be exposure to principles you can employ to affect dramatic performance increase in your company.
